Vision is more than 20/20.
A child can pass a vision screening and still lose their place, skip lines, and dread homework. We find and treat the eye teaming, tracking, and focusing problems a routine eye exam isn't designed to catch — for children, adults, and athletes.
Who are we helping today?
Choose the path that fits. Each one explains what we look for and what happens next.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Most kids assume everyone sees the way they do, so they don't think to complain. Our free online checklist takes about three minutes and tells you whether an evaluation makes sense.
- Loses their place or skips lines
- Headaches or tired eyes when reading
- 20 minutes of homework takes hours
- Words seem to move or blur
- Poor comprehension despite effort
- An eye that drifts or turns
- Double vision
- Avoids reading altogether

Clear steps, clear pricing. You'll leave with answers — not just a diagnosis.
Symptom checklist
Free, online, about two minutes. Share your score when you request a visit.
Binocular Vision Evaluation
A 90-minute "visual stress test" of eye alignment, teaming, tracking, and focusing, with computerized eye tracking during reading.
Doctor consultation
Dr. Toler walks you through the findings and a written plan. Included in your evaluation fee.
Vision therapy, if needed
We offer two options: In-Office or At-Home Training programs monitored by our doctor.
Paying for care
We're a fee-for-service practice and don't bill insurance, which lets us give every patient the time this testing needs. Florida families can use Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA) funds through Step Up For Students.
“I have found that a symptom checklist is one of the best tools to uncover if visual skills are adversely impacting academic performance.”

Common questions
My child passed a vision screening. Why would they need this?
Screenings check how clearly your child sees at a distance. They don't test how the eyes team, track, and focus together during sustained reading — which is where most learning-related vision problems show up.
Do you take insurance?
We're fee-for-service and don't participate with medical or vision plans. Payment is due at the time of service.
Can I use my FES-UA scholarship?
Yes. We're an approved provider for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities through Step Up For Students. Let us know when you request your evaluation.
How long does vision therapy take?
Therapy runs in units of 11 weekly sessions followed by a progress exam with the doctor. Most patients complete two units or 22 sessions over six months. Your plan is based on your evaluation findings.
Do I need a referral?
No. Many families come to us directly. If your eye doctor, therapist, or school referred you, bring any reports you have.
